Made in Montana, Genesis Biochar is a carbon-rich, porous material created by pyrolyzing white wood forest biomass in a high-temperature, low-oxygen environment. This process produces two types of carbon: stable carbon and labile carbon. The stable carbon is highly resistant to decomposition, remaining locked in the soil for hundreds, even thousands, of years, providing long-term carbon sequestration. The labile carbon, on the other hand, is more readily broken down by soil microbes, releasing nutrients that support microbial activity and plant growth in the short term.
